* ABSTRACT
A family of quasi-two-dimensional layered organics, 꺻좻(ET)2X, with a quarter-filled band have triangular ET lattice, which imposes frustration on the charge location as on the spin alignment in the half-filled band system. The salt of X=I3 is a metal, as expected in the band structure calculation. However, the salt of X= RbZn(SCN)4 undergoes the stripe charge ordering strongly coupled with the structural modulation, i.e. breakdown of the lattice symmetry, when cooled slowly. In case it is cooled rapidly where the lattice modulation is suppressed, 13C NMR spectrum becomes broadened and the relaxation rate 1/T1 gets inhomogeneous, indicating inhomogeneous electronic state. In this talk, I argue that these observations indicate competition between charge order, glass and liquid in strongly interacting electrons on the triangular lattice.
I will also talk about melting of charge ordering by pressure and anomalous metallic state with a cubic temperature-dependence of resistivity in an organic system, (DI-DCNQI)2Ag.
