* ABSTRACT | |||||||
The heavy fermion systems can be modelled microscopically by the periodic Anderson model, which consists of a conduction band and localized orbitals. In this talk I will give a brief review on several scenarios for a transition between Fermi liquid metal and antiferromagnetic phase in heavy-fermion materials and on current issues in its microscopic descriptions. Particularly, I will review a recent study on the periodic Anderson model within cellular dynamical mean-field theory[Leo, Civelli, and Kotliar, arXiv:cond-mat/0702559]. |
