* ABSTRACT | |||||||
Mono- and bilayer graphene are novel two-dimensional electronic systems in which the effects of electronic band structure, including the formation of unconventional Landau levels, are explicitly demonstrated. We developed a unique lithography-free, all-dry process for graphene device fabrication and performed electrical transport and tunneling measurements on monolayer graphene, bilayer graphene, and their hybrids. Our work on the latter system consisting a continuous graphene sheet with a mono- and bilayer portion and an interface between them will be the main focus of this presentation. We found anomalous features in quantum oscillation of these hybrids, suggesting the existence of novel interface states. |
