* ABSTRACT | |||||||
We discuss the axino effective interactions relevant for thermal production of axinos in the early Universe. 1PI axino-gaugino-gauge boson amplitude at energy scale $p$ in the range M_{Phi} < p < v_{PQ} is suppressed by $M_{Phi}^2/p^2$, where $M_{Phi}$ is the mass of the heaviest PQ-charged and gauge charged particle. As a result, axino production at $T>M_{Phi}$ is dominated by production by matter multiplet $Phi$, not by gauge multiplets. The axino production rate can be greatly reduced if $M_{Phi} << v_{PQ}$. This would be most notable in the supersymmetric DFSZ axion models in which $M_{Phi}$ corresponds to the Higgsino mass. A similar reduction is possible in the KSVZ models. |
