* ABSTRACT | |||||||
Numerous astronomical and cosmological observations have revealed the existence of a non-luminous matter component in galaxies, cluster of galaxies and the Universe at large scale, dubbed the \\\"dark matter\\\". It is commonly believed that the dark matter is composed by a population of new particles not contained in the Standard Model, however, this hypothesis still awaits confirmation. In this talk we will review some of the most promising ideas to detect non-gravitational signals of dark matter, a discovery which would open a new era in Particle Physics. |
