Accommodation Assignment

The situation for accommodation is not so reliable. Pricewise, modest hotels are hard to find near the venue. There are either very high-end hotels or very low-end hotels located nearby. However, suitable medium-rate business hotels are quite rare. The Hotel Sheraton Walker-Hill (02-455-5000) is probably the most expensive among them. As it is located near the bank of Han River, it commands a superb view of the river. But it is expensive, and very difficult to come and go from Konkuk University without car.

You can find some cheap and clean motels around the subway stations. You need not reserve a room but just go and check in if available. The prices are around 50,000 Wons. However, we cannot recommend these low-end hotels since they insist to rent the rooms by hours not by days. They do not want to provide room full day. In between, a few possible choices are: Hotel Dong Seoul (02-455-1100, http://www.idshotel.co.kr/), Hankang Tourist Hotel (02-453-5131, 133,100 Won for standard twin room, http://www.hankanghotel.co.kr/), and Seoul Olympic Parktel (02-410-2114, 170,000 Won for standard twin room, http://www.parktel.co.kr/ ).

For the participants from abroad, we recommend hotels in the downtown. One is the Hotel Ibis, in heart of Seoul, Myeong-dong. It is not so expensive, and it is conveniently located near the Seoul Subway Line 2. It will take less than 30 minutes from the hotel to the venue.
