 Scope

We are very pleased to host the first IBS CCES-CIFAR Joint Workshop on Strongly Correlated Electron System as part of the QMS 2015. IBS CCES (Center for Correlated Electron Systems: http://ibs-cces.snu.ac.kr/home/eng/) located at Seoul National University is one of the first IBS (Institute for Basic Science) research centers with particular focus on the physics of correlated electron systems while the CIFAR (Canadian Institute for Advanced Research: http://www.cifar.ca/) is a private, non-profit institute of advanced study in Canada and engages actively in long-term, multidisciplinary, global research networks. At this special event of IBS CCES-CIFAR Joint Workshop on Strongly Correlated Electron System, we will bring the leading scientists from both organizations working on strongly correlated electron systems and showcase the latest research results from the two organizations. The workshop covers subjects in the condensed matter physics with emphasis on novel properties of strongly correlated electron systems.
