Aim and scope

The POSTECH-APCTP biophysics symposium, on the basis of the annual meeting, provides a scientific ground for bringing together scientists in the frontier – experimental and theoretical – who often work in the intersection of biology and physics. Through the symposium, the participants will have a great opportunity for presenting and discussing their recent research progresses in the diverse frontier topics as well as freely exchanging new ideas among experimentalists and theoreticians for scientific collaborations. Additionally, to the junior scientists in the local (Korean) biophysics community, this meeting will be an excellent place to learn the current frontier interdisciplinary topics in biology and physics from the top-level leading scientists. In this 1st symposium, we will focus on a number of current hot issues in biophysics including nucleic acids enzymology, chromosomes, phase separation, cell membrane, and cellular imaging. These topics will be covered by around 30 invited oversea and domestic speakers.  We cordially welcome all of you who wish to participate in this stimulating meeting!
