Overview and Topics
Recent developments of the AdS/CFT correspondence demonstrate that a wide range of theoretical physics, including the strongly correlated systems of condensed matter physics, the quark-gluon plasma in nuclear physics, black hole physics, and information theory are related to each other. Among the diversified applications of string theory, the classical and quantum theory of gravity stands at the core of them all. The purpose of this workshop is to enhance collaboration among participants with diverse backgrounds, which will eventually leads to new scientific discoveries. Topics to be covered in the program include quantum gravity based on string theory, alternative theories of gravity, string scattering amplitudes, applications of AdS/CFT to various gravitational phenomena, quantum entanglement and holography, UV and IR structures of QFT's, double field theory as stringy gravity.
