    Talk 1 (Kwang Sik Jeong) :  Aligned QCD axion 

    Abstract: 
    We discuss phenomenological and cosmological aspects of the aligned QCD axion model, 
    where the QCD axion arises from multiple axions with decay constants much smaller than 
    the conventional axion window. The aligned QCD axion model can naturally explain the high
     quality of the Peccei-Quinn symmetry, and interestingly can accommodate a scalar for the 
    recently reported 750 GeV diphoton excess. We also explore topological defects of the model.
