* ABSTRACT | |||||||
I will discuss the Kondo effects on quantum dots in two different cases, based on numerical renormalization group studies. In the first case, where a quantum dot is coupled to two ferromagnets, I clarify a recently raised issue, whether the Kondo resonance survives or not. I also report the tunneling magnetoresistance as a function of polarization and dot-electron energy level. In the second case, a quantum dot coupled to superconducting leads, I will discuss the Kondo-enhanced Josephson current and singlet-douplet transition. |
