* ABSTRACT | |||||||
In this informal talk, I will discuss the recent development on the fractional quantum Hall system at filling fraction 5/2, which is believed to support quasiparticle excitations with non-Abelian statistics (that facilitates topological quantum computation). I plan to explain, on the blackboard, physics related to the recent quasiparticle interference experiments (Willett et al., arXiv:0807.0221) on the fractional quantum Hall system at filling fraction 5/2. I will review the calculation on the tunneling current in a double point contact geometry, which touches upon, very briefly, the Ising conformal field theory. |
