* ABSTRACT
I will give a very introductory lecture on AdS/CFT correspondence to those who are not familiar to superstring theory. Any knowledge on superstring theory is not requested to the audience. First, I will show you a concrete example within the framework of classical field theory in which some complicated computation can be easily evaluated just by changing the vacuum. Then, I will generalize this idea into string theory with necessary explanations on string theory. The change of the vacuum in string theory is change of the geometry: this is why some complicated computation on a flat spacetime can be easier on a curved spacetime. I hope that the audience catches the basic idea on AdS/CFT and understands that AdS/CFT correspondence is never a magic.
