* ABSTRACT | |||||||
Scope: The research area of Dr. S. Ryu lies in not only strongly correlated electrons but also high energy physics, covering fractional quantum Hall effect, topological insulators, and AdS/CFT correspondence. In particular, his recent studies on topological insulators, more precisely, classification on insulators and superconductors are rather well known, and his AdS/CFT study on the entanglement entropy seems to appeal to community. Although he may be not so famous because he is young, this 8-hour lecture will be a good chance, particulary for students, of course including me. I would like to ask professors to encourage students if they are interested in this topic. |
