* ABSTRACT | |||||||
We consider classical non-linear wave type solutions in a pure Yang-Mills theory which admit a finite mass and zero spin. There is a subclass of wave solutions which have soliton like behavior which indicates to presence of a possible integrable sector in the Yang-Mills theory. New stationary regular color monopole solutions are proposed. The solutions represent a Wu-Yang monopole dressed in gluon field. In the quantum chromodynamics (QCD), the monopole solution describes a vacuum monopole condensate. We have proved the stability of such condensate against quantum gluon fluctuations. Our results support the old idea of Nambu-Mandelstam-Polyakov that confinement mechanism can be provided by monopole condensation similar to Cooper electron pair condensation in the ordinary superconductor. |
