* ABSTRACT | |||||||
Soft hairs are conserved charges associated to a sub-class of residual gauge/diffeomorphism transformations. Recent arguments by Hawking et al. reveal that soft hairs may remedy pressing questions in the context of black hole physics, such as the black hole microstate problem or the information paradox. We show how a particular class of these soft charges can be used to identify black hole microstates and count black hole entropy. |
